AQA 1350 · Level 3 Certificate
Notes, videos, worked examples and exam questions for every topic of AQA Level 3 Mathematical Studies — organised exactly like the specification, built for Winchmore students.
How the qualification works
Core Maths is 100% exam, sat at the end of the course. Everyone takes Paper 1. You then take one version of Paper 2 — your teacher chooses the option your class studies.
Covers the four compulsory topics: Analysis of Data, Maths for Personal Finance, Estimation, and Critical Analysis. Uses the pre-released Preliminary Material.
2A Statistical techniques · 2B Critical path & risk · 2C Graphical & decision techniques. Each pairs with compulsory content from Paper 1.
Paper 1 · everyone studies these
The four pillars of Core Maths. Master these first — they also feed into every Paper 2 option.
Paper 2A · our option
Winchmore studies Paper 2A. These topics build directly on Analysis of Data from Paper 1 and are fully resourced below.
Paper 2B & 2C · other routes
These are the alternative Paper 2 routes offered by AQA. Winchmore doesn't sit these, so they aren't resourced here yet — but here's what they cover for reference.
Activity networks, scheduling and project management maths. The signature topic of option 2B.
In developmentExpected value, decision-making under uncertainty and fair games. The signature topic of option 2C.
In developmentWeighing costs against benefits to make and justify real financial decisions.
In developmentPractice makes permanent
